MOUNTAIN OF COLORS PALCOYO
The colorful mountain of Palcoyo at 4,900 m.a.s.l. is located near the snow-capped Ausangate, in the Andes Mountains of Peru in the district of Checacupe, province of Canchis, Cusco region.
A spectacular landscape where ocher, red, green, blue and white colors give life to this mountain range that is relatively easy to visit compared to the famous mountain “Vinicunca”.
Pick up from your hotel very early at 04:00 am to travel by car from Cusco to the district of Combapata, after a journey of 03 hours we turn left to the Checacupe bridge. This suspension bridge was made by the Incas to favor the routes of the ancient empire.
You must continue the route through a dirt road for about 01 hour until you reach the parking lot. From here you can already appreciate the Rainbow Mountain Range of Pallcoyo, however the best experience will be if we walk for about 45 minutes to reach the natural viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain Range of Pallcoyo.
Return to Cusco at 17:00 pm approx.
