SOUTHERN TIPON-PIKILLACTA-PIKILLACTA-ANDAHUAYLILLAS VALLEY
This tour is known for combining beautiful natural landscapes, also Inca architecture in Tipon, pre-Inca architecture (Wari) in Pikillacta, visit Andahuaylillas its beautiful chapel, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America”, as well as its delicious cuisine in Saylla and Huasao.
ITINERARY OF THE EXCURSION:
Transfer by bus at 8:00 a.m. and start the tour with a visit to: TIPON, located 20 km. Southwest of Cusco; this archaeological group corresponding to the Inca period in which you can appreciate an exceptional hydraulic system. It was a very important agricultural production center. PIKILLACTA, 30 km. south of Cusco, archaeological group of the pre-Inca period, where the narrow streets built by the Wari are preserved, you can see the Huacarpay lagoon, famous for the number of birds it houses. ANDAHUAYLILLAS, we will visit its famous church, considered the SIXTH CHAPEL OF AMERICA, which exhibits one of the most beautiful examples of Colonial Art, with gilded altars, murals, paintings and polychrome ceilings. On the way back we will pass through Saylla, a typical Cusquenian village where you can enjoy the delicious pork rinds (optional). Finally return to Cusco.
