SACRED VALLEY FULL DAY
The Sacred Valley of the Incas, at an altitude of 2600 to 2900 meters above sea level, between the Peruvian Andes and the jungle, composed of numerous rivers that descend through gorges and small valleys, has many important archaeological monuments and indigenous peoples of the provinces of Urubamba and Calca. Highly appreciated for its geographical and climatic qualities, it was one of the main production points due to the richness of its lands and where the best corn grain in Peru is still produced today. Its beautiful colonial towns today show a unique mix of architecture, art and living culture. The towns of Chinchero, Pisac and its handicraft fair, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and its living Inca village, Maras and Moray, each with its own history and customs form the most beautiful traditional region of the Peruvian Andes. We start this tour with pick up from your hotel at 08:30 am. During this day we visit three archaeological sites, plus one of the best typical markets of the city of Cusco (Pisac) opportunity to buy handicrafts, in the afternoon on the way to the fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo. And on the way to Cusco we visit Chinchero, arriving to the city of Cusco at 19:30 p.m. approx.
