BOTANICAL GARDEN OF MEDICINAL PLANTS OF MANU

Welcome to our center of ancestral knowledge, created by shamans and master healers from different ethnicities of Manu, located at EcoManu Lodge. The medicinal center covers an area of 5 hectares, featuring over 103 species of medicinal, master, and magical plants. We consider it of utmost urgency to recover and value the use and forms of utilization for the treatment of diseases and multiple injuries typical of the Amazon.

NATURAL BUTTERFLY GARDEN IN MANU

Welcome to the butterfly paradise. Peru boasts the highest diversity of butterflies of any country in the world, with 3800 registered species, and the majority of these species are found in the montane forests and the Manu jungle, with a record of 1307 butterfly varieties. The garden is located in the EcoManu Lodge reserve.

OBSERVATION TOWER

Located at EcoManu Lodge, a beautiful observation structure in the primary forest, ideal for study programs and monitoring of endangered flora and fauna. It is a recommended site for bird watching.

Amazing!!! We have been exploring the Amazonia for 4 days with Fernando....what an amazing guide!! Fernando is local so he know everything there is to know about animals, sounds, trees, smells, everything! The boat rides are amazing and the place where the lodge is located is beautiful! Fernando is very flexible and knew exactly what we needed every time, from resting to walk, explore and look for animals! The food was just incredible, some of the best we had in Peru (cheers Flora, great chef!), and the boat driver was so nice and helpful (kudos Pascoal)! It was an incredible experience, everything well organized and we had such a wonderful time with EcoManu Expeditions!

Ecomanu Expedition Caminar por la selva,durante el día y por la noche,encontrándonos (yendo en su búsqueda algunas veces) aves, reptiles,insectos,monos,flora de todo tipo, y navegar por el río Madre de Dios (con el patrón Eusebio,muy bueno, conoce muy bien el río) .Superó con creces todas las expectativas, de sobra amortizado lo que pagamos porque fue una experiencia muy diferente a todo.El guía,Fernando Rivera,nativo de esa zona conoce a la perfección cada rincón del Manu y cada especie...,nos sentimos muy seguros y cómodos en todo momento con él,un 10.Las instalaciones del EcoManu Lodge muy cómodas,el cocinero,Nico,nos alimentó muy bien,un crack! Es la primera vez que escribo en algo de esto, pero es que lo merecen. SALUDOS

Manu Nationalpark We booked two days in advance the five days tour to the Manu national park. We've met our tour guide at that day and he explained everything to us. We spent one day going into the jungle with many stops to learn about the different kinds of culture in that part of Peru. The next day, we spend a few hours with one of the community Ecomanu Expedition is supporting. We decided as group to bring some things for one of the families which were new in the community. They where so happy about a little bit of rice, salt, and sugar. We knew, that they had a few children and as we arrived we found out, that they were keeping a paar of twins, who's parents died. Because of the children we brought also a small football, which the father was so happy about. He showed us how to use the archer and how to make an arrow. The other three days we stayed at the lodge in the jungle. Around there we saw a lot of different kinds of animals. One night of the three we spend on a platform with just a mosquito net around us. In total we spend a wonderful time with lots of new experience with Ecomanu Expeditions.

Amazing experience in nature! We did a 5 days Manu National Park tour and had a wonderful time! The organisation is great and our experienced guide is now like a friend to us! We saw a lot of birds and other small animals, but most important was the experience in the jungle. Sleeping on a platform one night trying to spot nightlife animals and listen to the pure nature! That gave us really peaceful and relaxing days! The whole organisation supports the local communities and tripes, which also gave us the trust to Ecomanu Experience!

Outstanding tour! My husband and I are bird/nature photographers. We signed up with Ecomanu Expedition based on the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. The tour actually surpassed our expectations. Ruth made the trip registration very easy and was prompt to reply when we had questions. We were very impressed by the knowledge and expertise of our guide Symond throughout the entire trip. He was extremely dedicated, attentive and professional. Fernando demonstrated his excellent and safe driving skills on the numerous switchbacks of the road to Manu National Park. The food was delicious and the accommodations were very comfortable. Everyone involved made the trip a success. Thank you sincerely to Ecomanu Expedition for a great adventure

Unique Jungle Wildlife Experience This was the highlight of my Peru trip to be able to go deep into the jungle. Fernando had answers to all our endless questions about the animals and plants of the jungle. He even got certain medicinal plants to help some of the group's ailments. All the lodges we stayed at were really inside nature and that experience is priceless. The meals were great and catered to our liking. I especially enjoyed the night treks. I am glad we went for 10 days. The longer you are there the more you can start to vibe with nature.

Magical Jungle tour We had the best time with Fernando and his team, we were looked after perfectly. 8 days of traveling deep into the wilderness. Adventures included because nature has its own ways which are not always predictabel. The waters were low at the Rio del Madre de Dios, we got off to push it over the ground sometimes, but plenty of water from above another day, there can be a lot of rain in the Rainforest.! Fernando took care of everything, he shared his great knowledge with us and answered patiently every question, and there where many. He helped Fotunato the cook preparing our meals, sometimes under difficult circumstances, like in the back of our boat. He collected herbs for a tea to help a friend to get better. Helped the boys with the luggage everytime we spent the night at a lodge and then back on board again the next morning. Fernando, you are a brave gentle man with a good sense of humour, to go on a trip with 8 woman.

Wonderful experience The Manu National Park was absolutely amazing, our guide - Fenardo made it just magical. He knew almost everything about the plants, the animals was so very kind and had a wonderful Staff of people who made fanatastic food and helped with everything. Nice, airy bungalows specially the eco Manu Lodge was our favourite you could lay down in Hammocks, being outside was a pleasure in the middle of the jungle; night trekks, swiming in the Madre de Dios river and all the beautiful nature made this trip one of the best experience in Peru.

4 wonderful days of expedition in Manu National Park Eco Manu Expedition definitely stood out for their amazing service! It is an authentic expedition into the heart of the Amazon where accommodation, food and guiding are above expectation. Fernando and Simon are amazing guides, full of knowledge and stories to share. They always made sure to adapt the trip to our interests, which in our case were edible and medicinal plants. They even made the effort to teach me how to do a Pachamanca just because I asked. There was a clear effort to making this adventure unforgettable. I recommend them 100% and I regret not having done the 8 days tour. I will come back for sure if I have the opportunity.
